Sustainability is in our DNA

Why do we need a sustainable ecological city, housing, and offices?

DID YOU KNOW THAT...
the built environment and the construction sector consume approximately half of the world's natural resources and account for about 40% of energy consumption?
Approximately one-third of greenhouse gas emissions are generated during the use and construction of buildings.

Our mission is to create healthy and vibrant cities where people love to live and work.

We are increasing the rate of low-carbon construction and developing services related to building lifecycle management. Mitigating climate change is a key part of our strategy. Our environmental protection efforts are confirmed by obtaining the internationally recognized ISO 14001 certification, which sets strict standards for environmental management and the continuous improvement of our processes.

OUR SUSTAINABILITY GOALS AND STEPS TO ACHIEVE THEM

Reducing Carbon Footprint

Efficient Use of Natural Resources

  • e will promote renewable energy sources and implement energy-saving technologies in our projects.

  • We plan to increasingly use eco-friendly building materials to replace less sustainable alternatives.

  • We will implement measures to increase energy efficiency.

Minimizing the Negative Impacts of Our Projects

  • We will introduce a comprehensive waste sorting and recycling system and work on reducing waste generation starting from the construction phase.

  • We will strengthen biodiversity protection measures and support the planting of greenery in our projects.

  • We will ensure that environmental measures are followed by our subcontractors as well.

Support for Sustainable Mobility

  • We will prioritize alternative forms of transport when designing projects.
  • We will build infrastructure for cycling and carsharing and expand options for electromobility.

Education and Cooperation for Sustainability

  • We will provide our employees with regular training in the field of environmental protection and sustainability.
  • We will collaborate with partners to implement sustainable solutions.
  • We will engage employees and communities in initiatives supporting ecological innovation.

How do we contribute to reducing the carbon footprint?

The share of a residential building's emissions during the construction cycle expressed as a percentage. Through sustainable solutions, we not only benefit our environment but also positively influence the communities we serve. Together, we are building a greener future.

We build energy-efficient projects.

Through all the green initiatives we implement, from project planning to construction itself, we work toward two main goals. We strive to build sustainable and safe urban neighborhoods for people and to act as responsibly as possible toward the environment.

Our activities for energy-efficient projects:

Classifying our projects into energy class A

Aiming to achieve BREEAM certification for residential buildings

Using geothermal heat for building heating

Heat recovery from air conditioning to heat water in residential buildings

Green roofs to support biodiversity and improve the local climate

Solar panels on roofs

LED lighting in common areas

Using rainwater in retention tanks for irrigation

Creating biodiversity manuals and applying them when developing project surroundings

Utilizing surplus energy from residential buildings for car charging

Reducing embodied CO²

Using low-temperature heating and high-temperature cooling

Designing projects with regard to taxonomy, which includes solutions for improving energy performance, building adaptability and variability, and resource protection

About us

We constantly strive to evolve, adopt innovative approaches in construction, and implement new elements into our processes, while also developing business relationships and partnerships across our industry.

We don't just talk; we act.

  • We are members of the Slovak Green Building Council (SKGBC), which supports market development, legislative changes, and public awareness in Slovakia with the aim of transforming the construction industry toward sustainable building, and the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic (AmCham), which focuses on developing business relations between Slovakia and the USA and connecting Slovak and American businesses and communities.

  • We are members of the Circular Economy Platform, whose ambition is to accelerate the transition to a greener, circular Slovakia.

  • We are a proud co-founder of the Initiative for Modern Timber Buildings, which we support alongside the Slovak Green Building Council (SKGBC) together with other associations, companies, and experts from the academic field.

  • We strive to obtain the exceptional BREEAM certification for all our buildings. We are delighted that our revitalized national cultural monument, Pradiareň 1900, received the BREEAM Outstanding certificate—the highest rating for building quality and performance in terms of environmental friendliness.

  • We have joined Circular Slovakia, a public-private platform for supporting the circular economy. It brings together business companies, government and knowledge institutions, associations, and non-governmental organizations with the ambition of accelerating the transition to a greener and circular Slovakia.
